The arts have always been a fixture of Fitchburg and North Central Mass. Theater, music, dance, and visual art have long been a part of this region’s daily life and aspirations. In 1978, a group of local leaders came together to celebrate these creative expressions as well as build a sense of common purpose and collaboration with one another and the community at large. They created the Fitchburg Cultural Alliance.
On November 4, we hope you will join us to honor the 45th anniversary of this partnership with friends, some art, and your support of the Fitchburg Cultural Alliance.
We will not only celebrate our collaborative history, but we will also recognize some of the individuals who made and make the arts successful in our region. This year, the Alliance will launch a Creative Hall of Fame to tell the story of the creatives who made music, dance, paintings, and community happen. We are pleased to use this opportunity to celebrate and express our sincere gratitude to two women who have given time, energy, and spirit to the Fitchburg Cultural Alliance, Ellen DiGeronimo and Jennifer Jones.
